Design Process
The process is a partnership. I work closely with my clients to get a strong sense of their messaging and audience before diving into the design process and work alongside them every step of the way to ensure that each element of the creative package brings their vision to life.

PHASE I

Project Initiation

Once we decide to work together, we will begin with one of the most important steps in the design process. To ensure both parties have equal expectations from the project; we will explore your message, and answer any questions that will determine the direction of the design as well as the desired end-use experience. This is typically achieved by an in-person meeting with the client, a design brief, or FaceTime meeting.
Together we will review these important topics:
Corporate Profile – Summary of the business
Market Position – Evaluation of the company’s service/product in relation to the competition
Communication Task – What’s the message to be conveyed and by what means?
Target Market – Demographics
Objectives – What is the desired result?
Timeline/Deadline – A realistic schedule of deliverable deadlines and launch

PHASE II

Research & Strategy

This phase involves research of the client’s competitors, market trends, product/service differentiators, history of the business, and what the future holds. In developing the Project Strategy, we analyze the research gathered and decide on design and functionality criteria.

PHASE III

Development

Once the strategy is clear, the preliminary design concepts are created based on what we’ve developed. Sketched layouts from collected inspiration, color schemes and typography will all be presented before choosing the most viable design direction. With the client’s help, these ideas will be narrowed down to a couple of ideas for further development and refinement.

PHASE IV

Presentation/Refinement

Presented as a PDF file with the design in context, the client will review the designs and provide feedback based on their objectives and the needs of their target audience. At this stage we will be making changes to the aesthetic elements based on the client’s request or putting the final touches on an agreed upon design.

PHASE V

Production/Launch

With an approved design, we are now able to implement the finished piece across all deliverables, including print and web. Reward yourself! What is more rewarding the feeling of accomplishment?
